A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has surpassed more than one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of eu news today the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their impact on health and society.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The initiative forms part of Scientology-supported social betterment activities, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
